Our handcrafted birch wood knitting needle shafts are hand rubbed with extra fine steel wool and then hand waxed and polished to produce the very smoothest knitting experience. We do not use a clear coat on the needle shafts in order to prevent chipping. We also carry high quality, light weight bamboo wood needles. A smooth, light and warm feel that only wood needles can give.
